Institutional Repositories:
An institutional repository (IR) is an archive for collecting, preserving, and disseminating digital copies of the intellectual output of an institution, particularly a research institution to maximise access to research outputs both before and after publication and also to increase the visibility and academic prestige of both the institution and authors.
RACUO@CUO (Dspace): Research Archive of Central University of Orissa is a platform to archive the intellectual output of our University which are produced by our stake holders and the materials for which the copyrights is with our University. The materials include newsletter, annual reports, articles, book chapters, seminar proceedings, working papers, patents and working papers etc. This digital repository serves as a medium to popularize and disseminate the research activities of our University and serves as a long term preservation of digital assets of CUO. This repository is presently running on DSpace open source repository software package typically used for creating open access repositories for scholarly and/or published digital content.

DSpace is the software of choice for academic, non-profit, and commercial organizations building open digital repositories. It is free and easy to install "out of the box" and completely customizable to fit the needs of any organization.
